Quick Start Guide
To help you get up and running quickly with TellyAbroad we've put together this quick start guide to help you install the program, get it up and running and start watching programmes quickly and easily.

1) Installation
Once you download the software installer file tellyabroad.exe from our website, double click it to begin the installation. The setup window will appear requesting you to shut down all other programs, including your browser. After doing so, click next and read the license agreement. After accepting the agreement, choose the folder that you want TellyAbroad to be installed in. Unless you have a custom drive setup on your computer, it is recommended to install the program in the default directory (C:\Program Files\TellyAbroad\).
If you would like for TellyAbroad to work with Firefox automatically then make sure you install the plugin that is provided with the installation. The plugin will be loaded next time you start Firefox.
2) Starting TellyAbroad
After successfully installing TellyAbroad, load the program. When you start TellyAbroad for the first time you will be asked to either enter your registration details or start your 3 day free trial.
If you have already purchased TellyAbroad then enter your registration details, otherwise you may choose to begin the trial. To start the free trial you will need to request a demo license.
3) Requesting a Demo License
If you have chosen to start your 3 day trial then you will need to request a demo license from TellyAbroad.com. Enter your email address in the provided form within the TellyAbroad software to process this request. Once you submit your email address your demo license will be created and mailed to you.
Make sure you are using a functioning email address, otherwise you will not be able to receive your demo license key. If you do not see an email message from us after several minutes of submitting the request then please check your Spam folder before contacting us.
4) Entering the Demo License Details
Check your email for the registration key and enter the registration details (email and key) in TellyAbroad. Remember you have 3 days to evaluate the software, after that you will need to uninstall the software or buy a full registration. Once you enter in the demo license details you will then be able to start using TellyAbroad.
5) TellyAbroad Interface
Once TellyAbroad is started and your license details are successfully entered, it will load network information to retrieve an active list of channels so that you may connect to our servers and begin watching TV abroad.
The software interface is very simple and straightforward. The icon for each channel is displayed along with the name of the channel and a brief description of its programmes. The flag indicates whether the channel is broadcasted from the UK or the US. Using the scroll bar on the far right will reveal to you the rest of the channels that can be accessed with TellyAbroad.
If you want to purchase TellyAbroad at any time during your free 3 day demo trial, click on the icon at the top of the program to be transferred directly to our website.
6) Viewing a Programme
When you want to view a programme, simply double click the channel or click on it once and then click on the 'Watch Now!' button on the far right. You will connect instantly to one of our servers. A new window will open in your browser displaying the channel's website that you have selected.
TellyAbroad provides access to a large variety of channels. Each channels' website differs in how it presents its programmes to you so please refer to the help information that is provided by each specific channel in case you have difficulty locating a programme or browsing their website.
When you are finished watching TV, click on the yellow shield icon with an exclamation mark in the upper right corner to restore your original identity and return to your IP address. If you want to watch another programme, click on the channel and you will be connected to our servers once again in an instant.
Troubleshooting
- "I am not able to view any programmes." If you are using an antivirus software or firewall then you must allow access to TellyAbroad.exe as it needs to change your IP address so that you can access these channels.
- "The TellyAbroad Firefox Plugin is not working for me." In order for the TellyAbroad Firefox Plugin to work correctly, make sure you have the most recent update of Firefox.
